As we move from “bench to bedside” and clinical trials we believe that we will begin to have a major impact on the day to day lives of paralysed people both here in Australia and world-wide. This will generate huge interest and we are looking for organisations who share our commitment. The SCSA welcomes partnership opportunities with companies willing to take a more direct and active role in helping us search for a cure for paralysis. These valuable corporate relationships allow us to participate in specific events such as conferences, study trips, sponsor overseas academic visitors etc. Corporate-sponsored programs offer opportunities for individuals and corporations to participate in advancing the mission of SCSA. These initiatives make a significant difference to paralysis awareness and an ongoing commitment in the search for a cure – engaging corporate officers, employees and consumers. A corporate partnership or association with the Spinal Cord Society of Australia offers business the opportunity to demonstrate support for doing something constructive about spinal cord injury. There is also the opportunity to demonstrate corporate citizenship as well as providing employees and shareholders with a cause which is worth supporting. We are completely transparent in our use of funding and are also able to provide public recognition of the support of corporate sponsors. We are quite willing to co-operate with our sponsors in the development of their corporate social responsibility programme. We have three levels of Corporate Sponsorship with appropriate benefits:
